Student Grants

College of the Arts:

International Matching Travel Grants

Any full-time undergraduate or graduate student in the College of the Arts is eligible for an International Matching Travel Grant. Awards are restricted to international travel (i.e., not within the U.S.) for invited research presentations, performances or exhibitions at significant professional meetings or events, or for travel to and from study-abroad or residency programs. A limited number of grants may be awarded for graduate student travel critical to the student’s thesis work (for research, or attending significant conferences, exhibitions or performances).

Grants for Student Group Travel

College of the Arts Faculty leading a student international travel experience may request travel support for College of the Arts undergraduate or graduate students participating in the program. Funding of up to $500 per student may be available by request to the Office of the Dean. The faculty member in charge must submit this request to Associate Dean Mark Fullerton (fullerton.1@osu.edu) at least 30 days prior to departure.

Students traveling in such groups should seek funding assistance through this process rather than applying for the "Arts Students International Travel Matching Grant," but they may also apply for matching funds from the Colleges of Arts and Sciences (see below).

Arts Undergraduate Research Scholarship

The Undergraduate Research Scholarship in the Arts program allows students who are passionate about their discipline to apply for a financial award twice a year.  $1,000 - $8,000 is awarded for those exceptional research proposals, and those recipients are invited to present their research at the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum.
