Spring 2008 Alumni Event

OSU Urban Arts Space, 50 W Town St
in the historic Lazarus building, Columbus

Alumni and friends of the College of the Arts are warmly invited to our 2008 General Alumni Meeting and Gallery Reception at the new OSU Urban Arts Space downtown from 5 to 6:30 pm Thursday, May 15. The event is hosted by Karen Bell, dean, and Mary Hickey, Arts Alumni Society president.

On view in the galleries is the 2008 Master of Fine Arts: Thesis Exhibition featuring the artwork of 30 MFA students from all areas in the Department of Art, including photography, painting and drawing, sculpture, ceramics, glass, art & technology, and printmaking.

The evening event will include:
• Alumni gathering and vote on board officers 5:30 pm.
• Gallery talk by Sergio Soave, chair, Department of Art,
and Michael Mercil, professor of art at 5:45 pm.
• Self-guided tours with current MFA exhibitors.
• Student Glass Club sale.
• Refreshments.
