The faculty exhibition includes new work by Ken Rinaldo and Steve Thurston, associate professors, which they created during sabbaticals last year. Interactive Spider Bots, by Rinaldo and Matt Howard, are a cluster of human-responsive robotic spiders. The spiders were first exhibited last spring In England. Thurston's work reexamines the ideals of 19th century romantics with new technology. His architecturally scaled forms contain computer-milled plaster negatives inlaid with sepia toned wax-relief.
