Areas of Expertise
• Trombone performance
• Teaching tenor and bass trombone
Professor Duchi currently is the bass trombonist in the Columbus Symphony
Orchestra, a member of the Ohio Brass Quintet, and trombonist with the
ProMusica Chamber Orchestra of Columbus. Before coming to OSU, Professor
Duchi taught and conducted at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
His performing experiences include three seasons with the Springfield
(Mass.) Symphony Orchestra and the Springfield Orchestra Brass Quintet.
Professor Duchi is also a member of the Fifth U.S. Army Band, where he
often performed as soloist and assistant conductor. He is a former faculty
member at the National Music Camp at Interlochen, Michigan.
