Richard Harned is a professor in the Department of Art. He co-coordinates
the glass program and serves as adjunct faculty of the Department's Art
and Technology program as well as the College's ACCAD. He creates artwork
which investigates the nature of glass and technology. He has worked,
lectured and taught nationally and internationally. In addition to being
the recipiant of Individual Artists Fellowships from the National Endowment
for the Arts, Ohio Arts council, and the Greater Columbus Arts Council,
he served as board member, panelist and site visitor for national and
regional art organizations. He founded the "Glass Axis", a not-for-profit
workshop and artists' organization in Central Ohio.
